You started working for a client, and you are doing your best to make him happy. Here are some guidelines on how to make it happen easier.

1. FIRST LONG TERM CLIENT

I got my first long term client through a simple one-time ad. Three weeks later he called me for an interview. Turned out that his designer quit, and he offered me a job for their college championship as a sports designer. I was working until 2 am to make the match announcements perfect.

We are still working together, more than one year. It all started with one simple 10$ ad and turned out to be one long term partnership. You should take one time jobs as well, but you never know if your long term client is behind that ad.

2. ASK

Always ask your client as many questions as you need. Ask for brief, examples, whatever you may need to make the product the best. There is a belief in Serbia that if you ask too many questions you are stupid but if the client says “WOW” at the end. It was all worth it.

3. LEARN LIKE A SPONGE

For my five years in Maxbet, I started as an operator and climbed all the way to marketing. Along the way I have met some remarkable experts from whom I learned a lot. I didn’t learn only from designers, there were some amazing bookmakers, sports journalists, development directors, experts for online casinos, and marketing. Take the knowledge you get, and turn it into something great. Always take advice from people who know more about something than you do.

4. TEAMWORK AND TAKING CREDIT

Everyone is trying to do their job the best they can, but in teamwork you also need to help others, or ask for help to get the best results. In teamwork is always one for all, and all for one. This is a great chance to teach someone something or learn from someone.

Don’t take credit for something unless you didn‘t do it 100%, it will come back to you sooner or later. If someone helped you, share your success. In the beginning, I had a problem with one assignment. My colleague helped me a lot, I could say that she did half of the work, so I wasn‘t going to take all the credit. As a result, she got a bonus, I didn’t fail and got respect for being a team player.

I always wanted to write a blog but I wasn‘t too good at it. My English is good, but not perfect. My grammar is good but not perfect. So I decided to hire someone who can write what I want to say. Life gave me a chance to meet this person, and she helped me to get the product I need. You always need people to succeed.

BE PROFESIONAL

There will be times where you won’t be doing something you love 100%. The magic that is there when you are starting is going to fade. You will have to make an ad for the athlete you don‘t like. The things that you might not like so much, or you might find it irrelevant like google ads are very much important to your client. This is your client‘s marketing. Even if something is boring, you should always try to keep professional, and the result will be happy clients and respect for your hard work.
